...as almost all of our mortars have been specially developed for the waste water sector. They are designed for corrosion protection and watertightness and therefore react very quickly. This can be problematic in building construction, as the mortar dries out too quickly due to the removal of water caused by solar radiation and wind, which can lead to cracks.

However, there are exceptions: Our ERGELIT-KBF40 and ERGELIT-SBM. ERGELIT-KBF40 was specially developed for the renovation of open structures, such as basins in sewage treatment plants. ERGELIT-SBM is often used as a repair mortar in small quantities in building construction. Thanks to the large supporting grain, this mortar can withstand faster curing. Nevertheless, curing should be carried out after at least 7 days to minimize drying out of the mortar.
