Brief description of the project:
Hermes Technologie was able to demonstrate its comprehensive expertise in consulting and technical support for this project. The aim was to renovate a sewage treatment plant basin that was affected by cracks, holes and infiltration. The first step was to carry out an inspection of the structure in order to determine the most suitable renovation method and materials for a permanent solution. Our application engineer assessed the damage on site and then developed the renovation plan.
After the initial cleaning of the structure, the tear-off strength of the substrate was tested to ensure a solid basis for the renovation. We then carried out the reprofiling work with ERGELIT-SBMa repair mortar that is ideal for closing larger holes and cracks. To seal the infiltrations, our Hermes-WS injection resin for use. This material is characterized by a fast reaction time: It foams up within just 10 seconds and reliably stops any infiltration. The resin was injected specifically behind the affected areas using a lamella impact packer.
Once the reprofiling and sealing work had been completed, the entire structure was sprayed with a 10 mm layer of ERGELIT-KBF40 coated. This polymer-modified, fiber-reinforced coating mortar impresses with its excellent crack-bridging properties and is particularly suitable for structures that are permanently exposed to wind and weather.
The entire renovation was completed in just four days. During this time, the structure was cleaned, reprofiled, sealed and coated. Thanks to our proven technologies and materials, the wastewater structure was successfully renovated and protected for the long term. This project exemplifies the high quality, efficiency and reliability that Hermes Technologie offers its customers.
